Do you travel collectively
You can come to us by train from the north or from the south. The nearest station is Otta.
You can also come to us by bus. Check if the bus stops at Sjoa or at Varphaugen, and if it does not stop at any of these places, then there is a disembarkation at Otta.
Pick-up at Otta station must be planned with us in advance.
By car
By car south from follow the E6 4 km north of Sjoa. By car north from follow the E6 south 7 km south of Otta.
From the west (Lom, Stryn, Parish): Drive to Otta, then 7 km south on the E6, then we are on the right hand side.
From Fagernes, Beitostølen, Gjende: Drive FV 51 north to Randsverk. Here you turn right towards Sjoa, FV 257 and follow it all the way to the town Sjoa. Drive north on the E6, then we are on the left hand side after 4 km.

Sjoa Familierafting Sjoa Climbing Park are located in scenic surroundings in Varphaugen with a unique and idyllic location right next to the river Gudbrandsdalslågen. This means that we have the best starting point for family rafting, and that we can offer more child-friendly nature experiences on site.

There are many opportunities in the area around Varphaugen and Sjoa Familierafting and Sjoa Climbing Park. With our beautiful location between Jotunheimen National Park and Rondane National Park, this provides opportunities for day trips with children in fantastic mountain terrain. It is a short way to Dovrefjell for muskox safaris, or to Heidal for mountain riding. It is also not very far to Glittersjå Fjellgård.
