Sjoa Familierafting is based on Varphaugen, an old farm, which is surrounded by beautiful nature, and we want our guests to explore as much of the area as possible when they come to visit. A good way to do this is to go on the adventure trail. Children may not always want to go for a walk, but when there is a “mystery to solve” on the way, it usually helps with motivation.<\/p>\n
The adventure trail makes it fun to go for a walk. Various objects are placed along the path, and the children are challenged to explore and find these. We have also created small obstacles on the way to make the path both fun and challenging.<\/p>\n
As the name suggests, Sjoa Familierafting focuses on family activities for families with children up to 15 years of age. With us you can engage in many different activities, some on water, others on land and some in the air.<\/p>\n
The water activities include family rafting<\/a>, SUP<\/a> and canyoning<\/a>. If you want to do something that doesn’t involve water, we suggest you visit Sjoa Climbing Park<\/a> for 3 hours of fun in the treetops.<\/p>\n If you get hungry, you can either use one of our fire pits for grilling, or you can buy simple meals such as homemade pizza or toast. If you want us to serve meals, they should be pre-ordered. We serve both breakfast, lunch and a two-course dinner. We also have a small guest kitchen available, if you want to provide the food yourself.<\/p>\n Get close to nature<\/p>\n At Sjoa Familierafting, we offer various types of accommodation. For those who want a wilderness experience, it is possible to sleep in a lavvu<\/a> on the bank of Gudbrandsdalsl\u00e5gen. It is a special experience that brings you even closer to nature.<\/p>\n We have newly refurbished cabins<\/a> with bunk beds and enough space for a family of up to five people. All cabins are equipped with a fridge and a table so that you can serve meals indoors.<\/p>\n We also have a newly renovated family room<\/a> of approx. 30 m2 with two double beds, fridge, dining area, kettle and a sink. There is space for an extra cot, should there be a need for this, which makes the family room perfect for families with the very smallest children. The family room is on the second floor of Nordre Stuggu, a charming house from 1745 with views over both the area and the river. Nordre Stuggu is centrally located and those who spend the night here use the sanitary facilities located centrally.
