This ended in 1537 when the Danish king introduced the Lutheran faith (Protestantism). During this entire period of over 500 years, pilgrimages took place up the Gudbrandsdalen valley. These pilgrims carried stones, one for each sin they had committed in their lives up to that point, and when they came to Varphaugen (Warphougen), they stopped and threw all their stones to free themselves from their sins. That is why the place was given this name. \nWe offer comfortable and flexible accommodation suitable for all types of pilgrims:
\nWe have 2 double rooms with a simple standard, furnished in the barn; the corn barn and the flour barn, which are dedicated to pilgrims. There is easy access to sanitary facilities and a guest kitchen.
\nOur pilgrim rooms are with bunk beds and double beds respectively, but there are other options:<\/p>\n

Choose between charming family rooms<\/a> <\/strong>located on the second floor of a house from 1745 with views of the area and L\u00e5gen. or newly renovated cabins<\/a><\/strong> with simple facilities.
\nLavvu<\/a> <\/strong>for the wilderness feeling, where you sleep under the stars in our traditional lavvu, located near the river for a real nature experience.

\nIt is also possible to buy a two-course dinner with us. All meals are homemade and must be pre-ordered the day before. We serve the meals in the dining room located in the main building. We have all rights for serving.
